Celebrating Vibrant Living After 50

I’m Patti, the woman behind Modern Living 50+. I created this space to share the things I genuinely love: personal style, beauty, creating a home that feels like you, and staying strong and active through every chapter of life.

Here you’ll find honest opinions, thoughtful finds, everyday inspiration, and a little real talk along the way. Because living well after 50 should feel like something to celebrate, not something to figure out all over again.

Why I Started Modern Living 50+

I started Modern Living 50+ because I wanted a place that felt relevant to this stage of life. Not a site telling women how to “dress their age” or promising to turn back the clock, but one focused on looking good, feeling good, creating a home you enjoy, and making thoughtful choices about what’s actually worth your time and money.

I’m figuring some of it out right alongside you. My style has changed, my priorities have changed, and I’ve become much more interested in buying fewer things I genuinely love rather than chasing every trend. Modern Living 50+ grew out of that idea: sharing what works, what doesn’t, and what I’m learning along the way.

A Little More About Me…

A Few Things I Believe In

I believe great style doesn’t have an expiration date, a beautiful home doesn’t have to cost a fortune, and feeling good about yourself matters at every age.

I’m always looking for ways to make everyday life a little better, whether that’s finding the perfect pair of jeans, discovering a beauty product that’s actually worth the money, refreshing a room, or finding new ways to stay healthy and active.

I love a good find, but I’m not here to tell you everything is fabulous. Some things are worth the splurge, some are worth saving on, and some deserve to stay right where you found them.

This is a place for women who want to enjoy this chapter of life with confidence, curiosity, good style, and a healthy dose of humor.
